Operating a Learning Center right in the middle of a reforestation site and organic farm at the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains with no bridge over a river and kilometers of unpaved roads on sloppy terrain is a daily, desperate cry in the wilderness for help.

GreenEarth has been encountering serious difficulties in finding a highly qualified and competent Information Technology and Communications (ITC) specialist for quite some time now, willing to come to GreenEarth in order to maintain/fix/improve its ITC network and broadband system at the farm.

Over the last three years, we have had in place a low-cost internet connectivity system for our 17 computers at our Learning Center, thanks to to the ingenuity of a kind soul who helped us back in 2011-2012. Unfortunately, he has gotten extremely busy with his Manila-based job that he has not had the opportunity to visit GreenEarth again for a long time now despite our frequent calls.

Meanwhile, our need for internet connectivity has expanded at the farm due to infrastructure development. We now have a newly-constructed Multi-Commodity Processing Center about 50 meters across the way from our Learning Center.

LORD, grant us even ONE IT expert at GreenEarth soonest who can help us solve our internet connectivity and other computer-related issues.

This has been the cry of our hearts for many months.

After a prayer meeting with our GreenEarth scholars and farm manager/site administrator that lasted past midnight on May 17, 2014 , the very next morning, we got a serendipitous surprise of bumping into Glenn and Dottie Jao, proprietors of the IT-security industry leader Egghead Systems and Networks, Inc., at the Christ Commission Fellowships (CCF) 9:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, May 18. We met the Jaos during our Holy Land Bible Study Tour in October of 2013, and had not seen them again since.

The Jaos are not even regular attendees at CCF. They attend Jubilee Evangelical Church in Quezon City. However, since Dottie attended the Unshakeable event with Dr. Ravi Zacarias as principal speaker on May 17th at CCF, she decided to bring her husband Glenn along that fateful Sunday in order for him to hear first-hand the great Christian apologist preach.

What are the chances we would ever see the Jaos in a sea of over 10,000 people?

Lo and behold, as my husband James was walking through the aisles searching for me and our guests in the vast Worship Center where thousands were getting settled in., Dottie hollered out a warm hello!

I walked towards them upon hearing Dottie’s voice.

Dottie with her big warm smile declared Mylene, I have been thinking of you over the last two weeks, how can we help the ministry at GreenEarth?

I was stunned by her question. I knew right away that the LORD sent them OUR way.

We held a meeting right after the worship service and one week of planning ensued.

GreenEarth, here we come!

The very following weekend, Glenn, Dottie and their smart band of eggheads all 7 of them together, started their day at 4 am to head out to our neck of the woods to conquer our IT woes at last.

We asked for only ONE expert, the LORD sent SEVEN!

It was one long Saturday working away with all our computers at the farm, and extending the reach of our internet connectivity to two buildings using only one portable broadband stick through every innovative and ingenious way possible.

The LORD sends only His best!

Glenn holds degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Engineering Management from the University of Southern California.
